Doubles and Triples Endorsement Test You are eligible for your instruction permit in Missouri starting at age 15, which you can receive by passing a written test, vision test, road sign test, and providing appropriate forms of ID, as well as paying a fee of $3.50. The instruction permit will then be valid for up to 12 months. The written test has 25 multiple-choice questions, and you must answer 20 of them correctly to get the passing score you need for to receive your permit. You must have your instruction permit for at least six months and complete at least 40 hours of driving instruction, which must include 10 hours or more of nighttime driving, before you can move to an intermediate license, which will allow you to drive unsupervised and is valid until age 18. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is in charge of administering the written test; when you’re ready, you can find a list of their locations online.
